Internal moving is when you apply to move into a different room/apartment in the same dorm that you already live in. .
You must stay in a dorm for at least 6 months before you can apply for internal moving.
In order to apply for internal moving you must create a new application in our homepage (www.kollegierneskontor.dk) When you state your current address and apply to move into the same dorm that you are already living in, you will automatically become an internal applicant and move to the top of the waiting list for this dorm (not the other KKIK dorms)
NB! Tenants at these dorms must contact their local administration. You cannot apply for internal moving through KKIK:
Øresundskollegiet, Sofiegården, Det Ny Emdrupborg Kollegium, Grønjordskollegiet, Rigshospitalets Kollegium, Holmbladsgade, Stærevej, Amagerbrogade og Sømoseparken.
You can state - under Special conditions - if you only wish to apply for a certain room, hallway or block.
If you apply with a co-applicant you must be the main applicant in order to be an internal applicant.
Be aware of the following:
- When you move internally you will always pay double rent during the renovation period - this is ½ a month. The normal terms for lease termination apply, but we will try to find a new tenant from the date you move out, so you only have to pay double rent for half a month.
- You must pay the full deposit for the new accommodation. The deposit from your current deposit cannot be transferred.
- You must remember to give notice for your current accommodation when you get a new accommodation as an internal applicant. The lease will not automatically be terminated, as the administration is not allowed to do it for you.
If you give notice too late and we can't rent out your room fast, you can end up having to pay for the full notice period.
You can read more about notice periods here:
