You must give notice here: https://www.kollegierneskontor.dk/default.aspx?func=kkikportal.leasetermination&mid=74&topmenuid=74&lang=GB

Remember that the date of departure is the day that the accommodation is empty and can be rented out.
The system will automatically register the date you give notice once you click on "submit termination request".

If you are a tenant in any of the other dorms, you must send a lease termination in an e-mail or a letter to the administration for that dorm.

What is my notice period?

1 month means that you must pay rent for one more month from the day you give notice. It is always counted from the 1st or the 15th of a month. The lease termination must be made no later then the 14th or the last day of a month depending on which date you move out.

3 months means that you must pay rent for another 3 months. It is always counted from the last day of a month, so if you give notice on the 1st it means that you must pay rent for a total of 4 months. Make sure that you give notice no later than the last day of a month to prevent this.

6 weeks until the 1st of a month means that you must pay rent for at least 6 more weeks, and always until the 1st of a month.
When you give notice, we count 6 weeks (or 42 days) in the calendar. You always have to pay rent until the next 1st of a month from day 42. So if day 42 is the 1st of a month, you must pay rent for that whole month. If day 42 is at the end of a month, you only pay rent for that month.

When can I move out?

You can choose to move out on the 1st or the 15th of a month.
We will then try to find a new tenant asap after your departuredate.
Be aware that if you give notice less than 4 weeks before your departuredate, you will still have to pay rent for at least another 4 weeks (and always until the 1st or the 15th depending on when a new tenant can be found), as that is the shortest period we need in order to find a new tenant.

The final statement will be sent to you 6-8 weeks after the end of your notice period.
